8/5:TOWN Night @ the Hooks Game 7pm (being held on Thursday night).
We will be meeting at Brewster Street Icehouse at 6pm to eat and then are heading over to the game afterwards. We will return after the game to enjoy a night of Texas Country music at Brewster. Wednesday Kayaking: July 28** 5:45pm @ Salt Water Pool
As soon as the weather permits, we will begin Wednesday kayaking again. This year it will be a little different. Tommy Moore will again be providing kayaks for our use under supervision of CJ Vaughn. We will be kayaking from the Salt Water Pool. at Rockport Beach Park. Wednesdays at Little Bay will cost $10 if you need to rent a kayak. Please be there by 5:45pm, shove off is 6:15pm. **On July 28th families are invited to join. Contact CJ 512.484.3723 or cjvaughn53@yahoo.com to let her know if you will joining that week.
**The money collected will go to TOWN as well as toward the upkeep up the kayaks Tommy Moore is so graciously supplying**

Boat Operations: Sat. July 17 4pm @ Cove Harbor **POST PONED**
Brandi will be teaching a hands on boat operations class. The class will be limited to 5 participants. The class is free of charge, but will require a refundable $20 deposit to hold your spot. Please contact Brandi if you are interested 361-790-2611

Speaker will be from Alissa Imman from the Corpus Christi Windsurfing Association.

Shooting Night: Tues. August 17 6-8pm @ Sharpshooters
It's Ladies night at Sharpshooters in Corpus. We will be heading out to shoot. For more information please contact Leslie at 361-205-5090 or info@townrockport.org. On Tuesdays, women shoot for half-price with the purchase of one or more boxes of ammunition. They also enjoy one free target, eye and ear protection, and gun rental.

Shooting Night: Sun. August 22 4-6pm @ TBD
This will be a few hours of what to use, how to use it and what to buy if you are wanting to fish from the surf. This will give you a basic knowledge of what you need to bring when we go camping & fishing overnight in October at Port Aransas. Call Kim Pendergraft at 361-446-3635 for more information.

Wade Fishing Class: Tues. August 31 6pm @ Little Bay
Have you ever wanted to know more about wade fishing? Learn about equipment, techniques and get questions answered on how to do it. Please wear clothes you can get wet as we'll be going into the water. After the class those that want to stay and fish should bring their rods and reels. Make sure you have a fishing license if you plan on staying to fish. For more information contact Leslie at info@townrockport.org or 361-205-5090.

Concealed Handgun Class: This class has been cancelled. We did not receive enough participants to hold this class at this time.
New Information
Go Fish Volunteer Day: July 31 8:30a-12p
TOWN has volunteered to help out at the Go Fish event at Goose Island on July 31. We need people to volunteer to help with this event. If you are intersted please contact CJ at 512-484-3723.

Matagorda Island Clean Up Day: TBD
We will have a few clean up days out at Matagorda Island. For the next two months we are asking the group to donate items for the facility out there. Please see the list below. If you have items you can take them to Kim at State Farm or bring them to any meeting. For additional information please call Kim at 361.446.3635.

Corpus Christi Windsurfing Association has several free events during the summer. Check them out at corpuschristiwindsurfing.com.

"Billabong Women's Surf Camps" July 17th and August 14th!  Come out for a day of fun in the sun and celebrate women and waves.  This is a ladies only event, all ages welcome.  Surfboards and lunch are provided and everyone gets a special Billabong goodie bag for women including a Billabong rashguard, T-shirt and other goodies from our sponsors, all for only $75. Women in the Wild was a HUGE Success!!
62 adventurous ladies participated in Women in the Wild May 1st & 2nd. These ladies got to try their hands at numerous activities including: Archery, Shotguns, Rifles, Photography, Fishing, Kayaking, Dutch Oven Cooking, First Aid, Self Defense & more! tons of prizes were given away including a Hobie Lanai Kayak and a Benelli M2 Semi-Automatic Shotgun! We are very thankful to our gracious sponsors, teachers, volunteers, & game wardens.
